Seaway Boats lobster style, "Downeast" hull designs are known for their soft, stable, dry ride. The hull design has a deep forefoot that slices through waves and is designed to stay flat and comfortable at all speeds. This efficient hull is easy to drive, requiring less horsepower than boats of similiar size and weight. This translates into greater economy at the fuel dock. (See below for approximate fuel usage and speed with a 150hp outboard. The vessel can be powered with outboards of 115hp to 175hp, single or twin or an inboard diesel.

The Seaway 24 Seafarer is the perfect picnic boat for entertaining while quietly cruising the harbor, or is just as at home speeding off to Catalina at her 22 knot cruise. Her large cockpit seats six guests plus the skipper. the L-settee has comfortable seat and back cushions and storage below. the transom seat has room for three with a comfortable teak backrest and additional storage below. There is a small galley in the cockpit with sink, cooktop stove and Bar-b-que. Below is a 12VDC/110VAC refrigerator and optional microwave, all within easy reach. A bimini top with removeable side and back curtains provide protection from the sun and the elements.

the cuddy cabin has a generous 6'7" V-Berth with removeable filler. A table that is usable either in the cabin or cockpit and an enclosed head with holding tank. There is plenty of storage for overnighting and permanent gear stowage.

While the 150 hp Suzuki fourstroke outboard is the demo version, optional motors can total anywhere between 115 horsepower to 175 horsepower. Single or twins can be fit and their is an optional inboard diesel configuration. Below are speed and fuel usage specs for the Suzuki 150hp outboard. The 150hp Suzuki is quiet and efficient and depending on the load estimates 5 to 6 gph @ 20 knots and has a 3 year warranty with the ability to extend it to 6 years.
