Sought after  blue water cruiser rigged for singlehanded passages, with new Volvo Penta and Saildrive, an extraordinary design from the famed French manufacturer, Wauquiez.

Built by Chantier Henri Wauquiez in Mouvaux, France, and later acquired by the Beneteau Group, the Pretorien 35 was introduced in 1979 and grew to critical acclaim by Practical Sailor, Cruising World, and Sailing Magazine as a capable and comfortable passage maker. 

“Highly regarded both for their sailing performance and for the quality of their construction,” writes Practical Sailor.

Sailing Magazine lists the Pretorien in 25 great boats to sail around the world, saying, “It is a fine performer in moderate breezes and sails like a larger boat when the wind really pipes up. Those are the sailing qualities you look for in a true offshore boat.”

This model as a very clean new Volvo Penta engine, new Saildrive and seals from 2022, checking  the most costly and important project off the to do list.  The interior floors are gorgeous, and with a rear quarter berth with a door, and a forward v-berth with a door, and two entrances to the head, it’s perfect for family cruising or an ocean crossing.

Upon entering this beauty the galley is to the right and the captains table and rear of that is a quarter berth, looking straight ahead from the entry to mid-ship is the seating areas and further to the bow right is the head and restroom then further ahead the main state room.
