1978 Hudson Force 50

Classic William Garden style heavy displacement cruiser with great strength and lots of room on deck and below. This vessel has had some wonderful upgrades and needs others. The current owners life plans have changed and cruising is no longer on the horizon. The exterior of this vessel has a cruising cockpit for security and a broad flush foredeck for comfort at anchor and ease of mobility on the vessel when sailing. Below as you step down the companion way, you are in a spacious pilothouse with a steering station to port with a settee just aft of the steering station. To starboard is a entertainment locker with space for a large screen TV and extensive audio equipment. Storage abounds. Aft of the pilothouse is the aft cabin and ensuite head. Forward of the pilothouse one steps down to a lower salon/dinette and galley. The salon is cozy and the galley is to port. This placement of the galley is much more secure and useable than the galley up that came with most of the Force 50's. Forward of the lower salon to starboard is the amidships cabin with double berth and storage, to port is a head with stall shower. Further forward is a larrge V-berth, storage and anchor locker. A more comfortable layout is almost impossible in a boat this size.

The masts, standing and running rigging have all been replaced recently as the vessel was prepared for cruising with true in mast furling for both main and mizzen and are beautifully thought out and installed.
